day of March in the fourth yeare of the Dominion of Charles Lord
Baltemore &c Annoq Doni 1678 cometh the said Edward Gibbs with
Andrew Jones & John King of Somrsett County his suerties And
the said Andrew & John did undertake for the said Edward in the
sume of ffourteen thousand two hundred thirty six pounds of to-
bacco to be Levyed of their and either of their lands & tenetnts
Goods & Chatties to the use of the said Michael Taney upon this
Condicon That if the said Michael Taney doe obtaine judgemt in
an action of debt depending in this Court against the said Edward
Gibbs That then the said Edward Gibbs shall pay the condemnacon
or deliver himselfe to the prison of the Sheriffe of the County of
St Maryes Or that they the said Andrew Jones & John King will
doe itt for him, which suerties were accepted of by the plaintiffes
Attorney, and day giuen unto both parties untill next Provinciall
Court
