body of the within menconed Edward Pynn I have according to
tyme & place Afterwards to witt the said twelfth day of ffebruary
aforesaid he the said Jonathan then being Sheriffe of Cecil County
aforesaid And the said Edward Pynn then being in custody of him
the said Sheriffe for the cause aforesaid att S^t Maryes City in the
County of S^t Maryes the said Charles not being satisfied the said
foure thousand & twelve pds of tobacco without the consent comand
& will of the said Charles, the said Jonathan then being Sheriffe of
Cecil County aforesaid the said Edward Pynn did suffer freely to
goe att large whither he would And the said Edward before the said
Justices of the Provintiall Court of the said right Hon^ble the Lord
Prop^ry att S^t Maryes aforesaid the said twelfth day of ffebruary
One thousand six hundred Seventy seven he the said Jonathan had
not Whereby the said Charles from obtaining the said ffoure thou-
sand & twelve pounds of tobacco so adjudged to him as aforesaid is
altogether hindred & defrauded And the same foure thousand &
twelue pounds of tobacco hath totally lost to the damage of the said
Charles tenn thousand pounds of tobacco & thereupon he brings
his suite
And the said Jonathan by Robert Carvile his Attorney cometh
& defendeth the force & injury when &c and saith nothing in barr
of the action of the said Charles James, whereby the said Charles
remaineth against the said Jonathan thereof wholy undefended
Therefor itt is considered by the Court here this day to witt the
Eleventh day of March in the fourth yeare of the Dominion of
Charles Lord Baltemore &c Annoq Doni 1678 that the said Charles
James recover against the said Jonathan Sibrey as well the sume of
foure thousand & twelve pounds of tobacco damages, as also Six
hundred ninety six pounds of tobacco costs of suite So that Execu-
con thereof cease untill the tenth day of Octob^r next And the defend'
in mercy &c
