Andrew Skinner late of the County of Talbot
otherwise called Andrew Skinner of the City
of Yorke Tanner was Attached to Answer unto
Christopher Dennis & Ann his wife (late called

by the name of Ann Nowell of the same Citty
widdow) in a plea that he render unto them the sume of ffourteen
pounds of lawfull money of England which to them he oweth &
unjustly detaineth

And whereupon the said Christopher Dennis & Ann his wife by
Christopher Rousby their Attorney complaine, that whereas the
said Andrew Skinner the first day of September one thousand six
hundred fifty one by his certaine writing obligatory Sealed with the
Seale of him the said Andrew here in Court produced whose date is
the same day & yeare above menconed, did acknowledge himselfe
to be holden & firmly bound unto Ann Nowell of the same City
widdow in the sume of ffourteen pounds of good & lawfull money of
England to be paid unto the said Ann Nowell his [sic] heyres Execrs
or assignes or to her sure & lawfull Attorney To which payment
well & truely to be made & done, he the said Andrew Skinner did
binde himselfe his heyres Execr and assignes firmly by those prsents
Notwithstanding which the said Andrew Skinner the said Sume of
ffourteen pounds of sterling money unto her the said Ann Nowell
whilst she was sole or unto them the said Christopher Dennis &
Ann his wife since the intermarriage between them made though
often thereunto required hath not paid, but the same to pay hath
denyed & still doth deny to the damage of them the said Christopher
& Ann twenty five pounds sterling & thereupon they bring their suite

And whereupon the said Andrew Skinner by Robert Ridgely his
Attorney cometh & defendeth the force & injury when &c and pray-
eth the hearing of the said writeing obligatory & itt as read unto
him, he also prayeth the hearing of the Condicon of the said write-
ing obligatory & itt is read unto him in these words vizt The Condi-
con of this Obligacon is such That if the above bounden Andrew
Skinner his heyres Execrs or assignes or any of them doe well &
truely content & pay or cause to be contented & paid unto the within
named Ann Nowell her heyres Execrs or assignes the whole & just
Sume of seven pounds & five shillings of good & lawfull money of
England att or in the now dwelling house of the said Ann Nowell
scituate in Walingate within the said City of Yorke att or upon
the first day of December next comeing after the date hereof with-
out any further delay, that then this present obligacon to be void
& of no effect, or else to remaine in full power force & vertue Which
