Liber N N James Stavely & Henry Stockett admrs Thomas Salmon agt Charles James Wm Layton agt these defendants by Christopher Richard Higginbotham Rousby their Attorny appeare & T nomas jones agt imparle until next December David Brownej Andrew Cooke agt Edward Cooke Wm Gough agt Philip Lynes Wm Wells agt Dominick Bodkin & Redmond ffitz Gerald Edward Man Comand was given to the Sheriff of Talbott County agt That he attach any the goods or chattells of Jarvis Jarvis Barty j Barty to the value of two hundred Sixty Six pounds thirteene shillings & foure pence & when he had the same attached or any part thereof the same in his custody to Keepe untill the said Jarvis should by himselfe or Attorny appeare here the Second day of October 1677 to answer unto Edward Man in a plea of trespas upon the case Att which said second day of Octo ber the Same Sheriff maketh of the attachment aforesaid in these words vizt. July 4th 1677. Talbott ss. Memorandum attached then by virtue of a writ of at tachment issueing Out of the Provinciall Court On the behalf e of Edward Man merchant plt against Gervis Barty mercht deft the severall bills & accompts hereunder mentioned being as appeares by the contents of the Same respectively effects belonging & due to the estate of the said Gervais Barty vizt One bill under the hand & scale of John Edmondson dated 17th April for eleaven thousand five hundred seventy Seven pounds of tobacco. One other bill under the hand & seale of the said John Edmondson of the same date for fifteen thousand merchantable pipe Staves p. 342 white Oake valued as p accompt after the rate of 450 l p mit to 6750 1 tobacco. |
