And the said Garret by Wm Williams his Attorney cometh & Liber N N
defendeth the force & injury when &c and saith nothing in barr or
avoidance of the action aforesaid of him the said Robert Williams,
for that the said debt is due to the said Robert Therefore itt is
granted by the Court here this day to witt the Eleventh day of April
in the third yeare of the Dominion of Charles Lord Baltemore &c
Annoq Doni 1678, that the said Robert Williams recover agt the said
Garret Van Sweringen the aforesaid debt of Eight thousand eight
hundred forty one pounds of tobacco As also
pounds of tobacco costs of suite So that Execucon thereof cease
untill the tenth of Octobr next

These are to give you full power & authority being one of the
Attorneys of our Provinciall Court to confesse Judgemt the prsent
Court for me Garret Van Sweringen of the Citty of St Maryes
genti att the suite of Robert Willms of ffallmouth in old England
Mrchant for Eight thousand eight hundred forty & one pounds of
good sound Mrchantable leafe tobacco, with stay of execucon untill
the tenth day of Octobr next ensueing with the cost, And for so
doeing this shall be yor sufficient warrt In Wittnes whereof I have
hereunto sett my hand & Seale this tenth day of April Anno Doni
1678.

These are to give you full power & authority being one of the
Attorneys of the Provinciall Court, to acknowledge satisfaccon upon
a Judgemt had & recovered in the said Provinciall Court by me
Robert Graham Mrchant agt Garret Van Sweringen gentt as well of
a certaine debt of Eleven thousand nine hundred twenty six pounds
of tobacco As also for flue hundred fifty six pounds of tobacco for
damages & costs, & this shall be yor sufficient warrt In Wittnes
whereof I have hereunto sett my hand & seale this tenth day of April
Anno Doni 1678.

Satisfaction of the Judgemt aforesaid was then acknowledged in
open Court by Wm Williams
Morgan Jones Thomas Jones formerly of the Province of Virginia P. 511
agt & now of this Province of Maryland Planter was
(Tho:) Jones Sumoned to Answer unto Morgan Jones of a plea
that he render unto him Eleven thousand nine hun-
