Liber P.C.R. couenant & graunt to & Cuthbert ffenwick of Maryland gentn &
Thomas mathews of Maryland aforesd Chinurgeon in consideraOn of
marriage to bee betweene mee & Mrs Temperance Jay & for her
better maintenance after ye sd marriage performed & celebrated be
tweene us. That whereas shee ye sd Temperance Jay is possest of
right to an Annuity of Twenty pownds per Annü, out of certaine
Lands in Virginia appenteyning, or wch haue apperteyned unto
Capt George Fueling. That shee ye sd Temperance Jay shall from
time to time during her Naturall life & according to her power before
marriage wth mee, by her selfe or her assignes haue full power to
receaue ye sd annuity, & all pants, parcells & arreares thereof, & to
dispose of it, as shee shall like best. And that all receipts or acquit
tances gyuen by her or her assignes for ye same or any part of it,
shall stand good in Law agst mee, my heyres Executors, Admis
trators, or assignes. Wittnes my hand & Seale this day of July

graunted, bangayned, sould, assigned, & sett oner unto Richard Keene
of ye Prouince and County aforesd Plantn & by these p . . . ents doe
for us, & eyther of us, our or eyther of Our heyres, fully, freely, &
absolutely giue, graunt, bargaine sell, assigne, & sett ouer unto ye sd
Richard Keene all our & eyther of our right my tytle, interest, claime,
& demand whatsoeur, of, in, and to one Neck of Land commonly
called ye Cabbin Creeke Necke: Lying & being in St Josephs mannor
ouer agst Poynt Patience on ye South side of Patuxt Riuer; Sur
ueyed & layd out for fowrescore Acres more or lesse To haue & to
hould ye sd neck of Land all ye Timber, Trees, & all other appur
tenances whatsoeuer theneunto belonging. With all our and eyther
of Our rights, tytle & interest thereunto unto ye sd Richard Keene
his heyres or Assignes for euer. With Warranty agst us the sd
George Beckwth & ffrancis Beckwith & our heynes, & all persons
Clayming, or yt shall or may claime any right, tytle, interest, by from
or under us, or eyther of us, or any other way whatsoeuer. In witt
