686 Appendix. Liber P.C.R. couenant & graunt to & Cuthbert ffenwick of Maryland gentn & Thomas mathews of Maryland aforesd Chinurgeon in consideraOn of marriage to bee betweene mee & Mrs Temperance Jay & for her better maintenance after ye sd marriage performed & celebrated be tweene us. That whereas shee ye sd Temperance Jay is possest of right to an Annuity of Twenty pownds per Annü, out of certaine Lands in Virginia appenteyning, or wch haue apperteyned unto Capt George Fueling. That shee ye sd Temperance Jay shall from time to time during her Naturall life & according to her power before marriage wth mee, by her selfe or her assignes haue full power to receaue ye sd annuity, & all pants, parcells & arreares thereof, & to dispose of it, as shee shall like best. And that all receipts or acquit tances gyuen by her or her assignes for ye same or any part of it, shall stand good in Law agst mee, my heyres Executors, Admis trators, or assignes.
