      1675 came the said Wm Harris in his proper person and Saith Liber M M
      nothing in barre or avoidance of the action aforesa[id] of him
      the said Garrett for that he oweth the said Garrett the Said Summe
      of Seaven hundred and nineteen pounds of tobacco in such manner
      & forme as the Said Garrett hath above declared whereupon the
      Said Garrett remaineth against the said William thereupon wholly
      undefended Therefore it is considered by the Court here that the
      Said Garrett recover against the said Wm aswell the summe of
      Seaven hundred & nineteen pounds of tobacco the debt aforesaid as
      also the Summe of pounds of tobacco costs of Suite
      and the said Wm Harris in mercy &c.

      John Moll      Garrat Vansweringen late of St Maries
        agt County Gentl otherwise called Garrat Van-
  Garrett Vansweringen    swearingen of the Citty of St Maries in the
                     Said Province Inholder was summon [ed] to
                     answer unto John Moll of a plea that he
      render unto him the summe of thirty Six thousand pounds of good p. 615
      Sound merchantable tobacco and casque which to him he oweth
      & unjustly deteineth.
        And whereupon the said John Moll by Robert Ridgely his At
      torny Saith that whereas the Said Garret Vansweringen the first
      day of June in the three & fortith yeare of the Dominion of Caecilius
      &c Annoq Dom One thousand Six hundred Seventy five at St Maries
      Citty aforesaid did borrow of him the said John Moll the Said
      Summe of thirty Six thousand pounds of tobacco to be paid to the
      Said John when thereunto required Notwithstanding which the
      Said Garrat the said thirty Six thousand pounds of tobacco to him
      the Said John though often thereunto required hath not paid but
      the Same to pay hath denyed and as yet doth deny to the damage
      of the Said John fifty thousand pounds of tobacco and thereupon
      he produceth his Suite.
        Memorandum that this fourth day of November in the foure
      & fortith yeare of the Dominion of Caecilius &c Annoq Doth 1675
      before me Philip Calvert Esp Chancellour of this Province & One
      of the justices of the Provinciall Court at my house at Popes ifree
      hold in the County of St Maries personally appeared Garrat Van
      sweringen abovenamed in his proper person and did consent that
      judgment should passe against him for the Said Summe of thirty
      Six thousand pounds of tobacco at the Suite of the Said John Moll
      in manner and forme as the Said John Moll above against him hath
      declared provided that execution thereof shall cease untill the twentith
      day of ffebruary nextTaken and acknowledged before           G V Sweringen
        me the said fourth day
          of November 1675
