264 Provincial Court Proceedings, 1674.
Liber M M ise and grant to and with the said Richard Keene his heirs executors
administrators and assignes that the aforesaid two parcells of land
are free and cleere of and from all and all manner of former gifts
grants bargaines Sales Leases Mortgages rents arrearages of rents
joyntures dowers dutyes titles troubles and incumbrances whatso
ever had made committed Suffered or done or to be had made com
mitted Suffered or done by the said Samuel Hatton his heirs or
assignes or him the said Thomas Hatton his heirs or assignes or by
any other person or persons whatsoever the rents and services here
after to become due to the right Honble the Lord Proprietary alwayes
excepted and foreprized And further he the said Samuel Hatton doe
for himselfe his heirs executors and administrators Covenant prom
ise and agree to and with the said Richard Keene his heirs and
assignes that he the said Samuel Hatton his heirs and assignes shall
and will at all times hereafter for and dureing the Space of five
yeares next ensueing the date of these presents doe make acknowl
edge execute and suffer or cause to be made done acknowledged
executed and suffered all and every such further law full act and
acts thing and things device and devices Conveyance and Convey-
p. 193 ances in the Law with warranty against him the said Thomas Hat-
ton and his heirs for the further and more assurance and Sure
makeing of the premisses unto him the said Richard Keene his heirs
or assignes be it by ffine Deed inrolled inrollment of these presents
or any other law full way or meanes whatsoever as by the said Rich
ard Keene his heirs or assignes or his or their Council learned in
the Lawes Shall be reasonably devised advised or acquired but at
the Only costs and charges in the Law of him the said Richard Keene
his heirs or assignes In testimony whereof

Know all men by these presents that I Samuel Hatton of the
County of Talbott Attorny of Thomas Hatton of Tewksbury in the
County of Glocester and Kingdome of England am holden and
firmly bounden unto Richard Keene of Calvert County in the said
Province of Maryland in the full and just quantity of sixty thousand
pounds of tobacco and caske to be paid to the said Richard Keene
his heirs executors admrs or assignes for the which payment well
and truly to be made I the said Samuell Hatton doe bind my Self e
my heirs executors and administrators firmly by these presents
Sealed with my Seale and dated the Sixtenth day of April Anno
1674.
