Thomas do present the ingrossed Address to his Excellency.
George Plater Esq.r from the Upper House delivers to M.r Speaker
a Bill entitled An Act concerning Estates tail, and the Jurisdiction
of the County Courts thus indorsed "By the Upper House of As-
sembly, June 17.th 1773. Read the first Time and ordered to lie

on the Table.

His Excellency communicates to M.r Speaker the following Mes-
sage
M.r Speaker and Gentlemen of the Lower House,
I return you Thanks for your Address, and sincerely hope that
the general Welfare may be promoted by prudent and salutary Laws.
I am glad, Gentlemen, that his Majesty's immediate Notice of the
Affairs and Government of this Province gives you Pleasure; and
hope you will be particularly solicitous to merit his gracious Ap-
probation.
