The House met again according to Adjournment

Present as Yesterday.
On Motion leave is given to bring in a Bill entitled An Act for
preventing Trivial Suits in the Provincial Court which being brought
in immediately was Read the first and Second Time by an Especial
Order and will pass. So Endorsed and sent to the Lower House
by William Hayward Esq
Read the second Time in this House a Bill entitled An Act for
imposing a further additional Duty of Five Pounds Current Money
per poll on all Negroes imported into this Province, and will pass
So Endorsed and sent to the Lower House by Dan.^l of S.^t Tho.^s

Mess.^rs Allen and Chaille bring up a Bill entitled An Act to em-
power the Justices of Worcester County to Levy on the Taxable
Inhabitants of All Hallows Parish in said County the Quantity of
Thirty two Thousand Pounds of Tobacco for the uses therein
mentioned.

Read the first and second Time in the Lower House and will pass
which said Bill was Read the first and second Time by an especial
Order in this House and will pass; So Endorsed and Sent to the
Lower House by Daniel Dulany Esq
