The Committee, appointed to prepare an Address in Answer to
his Excellency's Speech, bring in the same, which being read and
approved of is Ordered to be Engross'd.
Daniel Dulany Esq.r, attended by the Members of this House,
presents to his Excellency the following Engrossed Address.
To His Excellency Robert Eden Esq. Governor and Commander in
Chief in and over the Province of Maryland.
The Humble Address of the Upper House of Assembly.
May it please your Excellency.
His Majestys most dutiful and loyal Subjects, The Upper House
of Assembly beg leave to Congratulate your Excellency on your
Appointment to the Government of this Province, and safe Arrival
with your Family, and to tender our best Thanks to you for your
very Obliging Speech at the opening of this Session
Whilst we indulge the most Sanguine hopes that the Advancement
of the true Interests of the People will mark the Honourable Char-
acter of your Excellency's Administration, give us leave to Express
our Warmest Wishes that the Residence of your Self and Lady
