The Message from the Upper House, brought in by Daniel Dulany,
Esq was read a second Time.
Ordered, That M.^r Ringgold, M.^r J. Hall, M.^r Johnson, M.^r Tilgh-
man, M.^r Worthington, M.^r W. Paca, M.^r Chase, M.^r Bordley, and
M.^r Allen, do prepare and bring in a Message in Answer thereto
Ordered, That M.^r Allen do acquaint the Reverend M.^r Jacob
Hindman that he is requested, by this House, to read Divine Service,
every Morning during this Session, at three Quarters after Seven.
John Ridout, Esq from the Upper House, delivers to M.^r Speaker
the Petition of the Vestrymen and Church wardens of Saint Luke's
Parish in Queen Anne's County, praying that an Act may pass, to
enable the Magistrates of Queen Anne's County to levy on the tax-
able Inhabitants of that Parish, at the November Court in 1771, the
Quantity of thirty thousand Pounds of Tobacco, for building a new
Chapel in the said Parish; thus indorsed: "By the Upper House of
Assembly, 7.^th November, 1770 Read and referred to the Con-
sideration of the Lower House of Assembly

Which was read here and granted. Leave given to bring in a Bill
according to the Prayer of the Petition
Ordered, That M.^r Wright do prepare and bring in the same
M.^r Wright brings in and delivers to M.^r Speaker a Bill, entitled,
A Supplementary Act to the Act, entitled, An Act to enable the
Justices of Queen Anne's County Court, for the Time being, to
levy on the taxable Inhabitants of Saint Luke's Parish in the said
County a Quantity of Tobacco for building a Chapel in the said
Parish
M.^r Harrison delivers to M.^r Speaker the Petition of Ann Gaither
Ordered, That the said Petition be referred to the Consideration
of a Committee; and that they do examine the Matter thereof, and
report the same, as it shall appear to them, to the House
M.^r Harrison, M.^r Deye, M.^r Smallwood, M.^r Adams, and M.^r
Baxter, are appointed a Committee accordingly; and they have Power
to send for Persons Papers and Records
William Hayward Esq from the Upper House delivers to M.^r
Speaker the following Message.
