The following Message is Sent to the Lower House by George
Steuart Esq:r together with the Bill entitled. "An Act for the Relief
of certain Prisoners in the several Jails therein mentioned" —
By the Upper House of Assembly 16:th November 1770.
Gentlemen
In Consequence of your Message of this Day by Mess:rs Dashiel
and Tyler, we have inserted such Words in the Clause by this House
Proposed to be added to the Act for the Relief of sundry Prisoners,
as we apprehend will obviate any Doubts which might otherwise have
arisen as Suggested in your Message —

Assented to by the Lower House of Assembly — which was Read
and Assented to by this House and ordered to be so Subscribed,
the Paper Bill so Endorsed, and Sent to the Lower House by William
Hayward Esq:r
