Read, and referred to the Consideration of the Lower House of
Assembly the Petition of Thomas Lightfoot, William Lightfoot,
Abraham Mitchell Walter Franklin, and Samuel Franklin, so En-
dorsed & Sent by Jn.o Ridout Esq.
Mess.rs Worthington and Grahame from the Lower House bring
up the following Message.
By the Lower House of Assembly 8:th November 1770.
May it please your Honours.
This House hath appointed M.r Worthington, M.r Ringgold, M.r
Grahame, M.r Beall, M:r Dickinson and M:r Contee to join one or
more Members of your House, as a Committee to inspect the Office
and Proceedings of the Commissioners for Emitting Bills of Credit,
established by Act of Assembly.
Signed by Order. John Duckett Cl. Lo. Ho.

Mess.rs Mackall and Ware bring up a Bill, entitled. "An Act to
impose a further Duty on Negroes imported into this Province, and
for the better Support of County Schools." Read the first and Second
time, by an Especial Order, In the Lower House, and will pass —

Adjourned until three of the Clock in the Afternoon.

purpose in your Message of this Morning, by Mess.rs Worthington
and Grahame.
