The House met according to Adjournment —
The Members were called and all appeared as on Yesterday.
The Proceedings of Yesterday were read
The ingrossed Bill entitled an Act to invest John Clayton with an
exclusive Privilege and Benefit of making and selling a Machine for
threshing of Wheat on a Model by him invented;
The ingrossed Bill entitled an Act for the Adjournment and
Continuance of the High Court of Appeals and for the Adjourn-
ment of the Provincial Court and other Purposes therein mentioned;
The ingrossed Bill entitled An Act for abolishing June County
Courts and for other Purposes therein mentioned.
The ingrossed Bill entitled an Act to enable the Justices of Somer-
set County to levy on the taxable Inhabitants of Somerset Parish in
the said County a Quantity of Tobacco for the Purposes therein
mentioned
The ingrossed Bill entitled an Act directing the Sale of the Lands
of Richard Heard late of Saint Mary's County deceased for the
Payment of the Debts of the said Richard Heard Sent to the Upper
House with the Paper Bill thereof by M.r Ringgold and M.r Dickin-
son They return and acquaint M.r Speaker they delivered the Bills
The Bill entitled an Act for the Tryal of all Matters of ffact in the
several Counties where they have arisen or shall arise — sent to the
Upper House by M.r Gale and M.r Tilghman They return and
acquaint M.r Speaker they delivered the Bill
On Motion, Ordered, That the Officers of this House be par-
ticularly attentive that no Person do lean on, or converse with any
Member, across the Bar of the House, or make any Sign to any
Member to come out; but that Application be made to the Door-
Keeper, and that not during the Reading of, or Debate and Delibera-
tion upon any Matter or Thing whatever.
Resolved, That the above be a standing Order of this House and
be forthwith published in the Gazette.
