Authority of the same That in Order to the erecting and building a
House and other Conveniencies for a County School there shall be
one half Acre of Land and no more purchased in Frederick Town
in Frederick County by the Persons hereafter named who shall be
Visitors of the said School Viz.t Jonathan Wilson, Thomas Bowles,
George Murdock, Major Joseph Wood, Thomas Price, Casper Shoaff
and Charles Beatty which said Persons so nominated Visitors for
Frederick County School 'shall qualify in the same manner and be
subject to the same Penalties and be invested with the same Rights
Priviledges Powers and Authorities as the Visitors of the other
County Schools within this Province and shall have succession in
like manner

And be it further Enacted That of all the Duties Taxes and Im-
positions hereafter to be collected and which since the twenty ninth
Day of September in the Year of Our Lord seventeen hundred and
sixty three have been collected for the use of the County Schools
within this Province there shall be paid by the Treasurers to the
Visitors aforesaid or their Order an equal Dividend by them to be
applied and expended to and for the purchasing of one half Acre
of Land as aforesaid and building an House and other Conveniencies
as aforesaid and to and for the Use and Benefit of the said School
in the like manner as the Dividends due to the other County Schools
are by Law directed to be applied

N:o 7 An Act for granting to the Nanticoke Indians a Compensation for
the Lands therein Mentioned


Whereas the greatest Part of the Tribe of the Nanticoke Indians
have some years ago left and deserted the Lands in this Province
Appropriated by former Acts of Assembly for their Use so long
as they should Occupy the same and the few that Remain have by
their Petition to this General Assembly prayed that they might
have liberty to dispose of their Right to the said Lands or that some
Compensation should be made them for quitting Claim thereto as
they are desirous of totally leaving this Province and going to live
with their Brethren who have incorporated themselves with the Six
Nations and that they have given a Power of Attorney to a certain
Amos Ogden to dispose of the said Lands for them and to execute a
Release and Acquittance therefor which power appears to be Con-
