The house met according to adjournment. The members were
called and all appeared except M.r Sullivane, M.r Hooper and M.r
J. Dashiel. The proceedings of yesterday were read.
The petition of the vestry men and churchwardens of saint Johns
parish, and the petition of the inhabitants of the said parish, read the
second time; and on consideration thereof, leave given to bring in a
bill: Ordered that M.r Thomas, M.r Wright and M.r M Tilghman do
prepare and bring in the same.
The bill entitled an act for licensing ordinary keepers, hawkers,
pedlars and petty chapmen; sent to the upper house by M.r Grahame
and M.r Griffith
Ordered, that a bill be brought in for the adjournment of Frederick
County court; and that M.r Allen, M.r Hall and M.r Luckett do
prepare and bring in the same.
M.r Ward, M.r Wilson, M.r Veazy and M.r Bordley have leave of
absence.
M.r Allen brings in and delivers to M.r speaker, the bill for the
adjournment of Frederick County court: Which is read the first
and second time by an especial order and will pass. Sent to the
upper house by M.r Cresap and M.r Luckett
The ingross'd bills, entitled an act for erecting a court house and
public prison for Baltimore County in the town of Baltimore, and
for making sale of the old court house and prison: And an act to
prevent the exportation of flour, staves, and shingles not merchantable
from the town of Baltimore in Baltimore County, and to regulate the
weight of hay and measure of grain, salt, flax seed, and fire wood
within the said town; read and assented to and sent to the upper
house by M.r Goldsborough, and M.r Johnson
The bill entituled an act for the speedy and effectual publication
of the laws of this province; and for the encouragement of Ann
Catharine Green of the city of Annapolis printer; read a second time
and will pass. Sent to the upper house by M.r Hall and M.r Chase.
Walter Dulany esquire from the upper house delivers to M.r
speaker, the bill entitled an act for the adjournment and continuance
of Frederick County court: And the bill entitled an act for the
speedy and effectual publication of the laws of this province, and
for the encouragement of Ann Catharine Green of the city of
Annapolis printer, severally indorsed: "By the upper house of as-
sembly June 18.th 1768: Read the first and second time by especial
order, and will pass.
