On Motion of M:r Selby, Ordered that no new Business be
moved in this House after next Tuesday the 20:th Instant
Tho.s Ringgold Esq:r brings in and delivers to M:r Speaker a
Bill Entituled an Act for regulating Innholders and Ordinary
keepers within this Province, which was read the first time and
Ordered to lye on the Table

Ordered that T. Johnson Esq:r M.r F. Gantt Col:o Cresap and S.
Wilson Esq:r be a Committee to enquire into the Allegations and
facts contained in the said Petition and that they make Report
thereof to the House
The House Adjourns till 2 of the Clock

Post Meridiem
The House met.
On Motion Ordered that S. Chase T. Johnson Esq:rs M:r J.
Adams M.r Harris M.r Allen Col.o Cresap and M.r Selby be added
to the Committee of Grievances and Courts of Justice
On reading the 2.d time the Petitions of the Poor Prisoners con-
fined in Ann Arundel County Goal the same is recommended by
this House to the immediate Enquiry and Examination of the
Committee of Grievances, Ordered that they make report to the
House
On Motion J. Hammond Esq:r hath leave of Absence
The House Adjourns till Monday Morning at 9 of the Clock
