Gentlemen,
We have returned the Journal of Accounts with a Negative,
[This message beginning thus is printed in full in the Upper House
Journal, p. 102.]

The Governor communicates to M.r Speaker the following Mes-
sage Viz.t
Gentlemen of the Lower House of Assembly,
As I am under an absolute Necessity of going over the Bay, next
Friday or Saturday, and shall not probably be able to return hither
before the End of the Month. I give you Notice thereof, lest
there should otherwise, by Reason of my Absence, be a Delay to

the Public Business

Nov. 15, 1766 Hor.o Sharpe

Ordered, That the Petition of Mayberry Helmes, Jun.r be heard
next Wednesday, and that Daniel Barnett, and John Shly, be served
with Notice thereof.

The Petition of James M.cMurdie, of Queen Anne's County, was
read the second Time, and the Question was put, That the said
Petition be granted? Resolved in the Negative
