Charles County Court Proceedings, 1674. 617 That I the John Allen my heires Execrs Admrs or Ass ignes shall Liber F & will when & as often as thereunto required, make, doe, acknowl- [p. 38] edge & execute all other such further act or acts, thing or things, de- vise or devises, Assurance or Assurances in the law whatsoever, For the further better & more sure & perfect assureinge & Conveyinge of all & singular the above graunted premises with their & every of their rights members & appurtenances to the Right Honoble the Lord Proprietary his heires & Successors as aforesd to & for the uses aforesd for ever, In wittnesse whereof I have hereunto sett my hand & seale this tenth day of Novembr in three & fortieth yeare of the Dominion of the Right Honoble Caecilius absolute Lord & Pro- prietary of Maryland & Avalon Lord Baron of Baltemore &c: Annoq Domini 1674 John Allen (locus) sigilli Signed sealed & delivered in the presence of Benjamin Rozer John Jones Memorandü, that full & peaceable possession & seizin of the sd liuuse was given by the within named John Allen to Mr Henry Adames Mr Thomas Matthewes & Mr Ignatius Causine three of his Ldps Justices on the behalfe of the Right Honorbl Caecilius Absolute Lord & Proprietary of the Province of Maryland & Avalon Lord Baron of Baltemore &c for the uses within mentioned in the presence of us whose names are here under written Benjamin Rozer John Jones Cleborne Lomax Know all men by these presents that I John Allen of Charles County in the Province of Maryland Gentleman am houlden & firmely bound unto the Right Honoble Caecilius absolute Lord & Proprietary of Maryland aforesd &c, his heires & Successors in the full & just sume of forty thousand pounds of good sound Merchantable leafe tobacco & Caske, To be paid to the sd Lord Proprietary his heires Successors or Assignes, To the which payment well & truely to be made I binde my selfe my heires Execrs & Admrs firmely by these presents, Sealed with my seale Dated this tenth day of Novembr in the 43d yeare of the Dominion of the sd Caecilius &c Annoq Doffli 1674 The Condicon of this obligacon is such, that if the above bounden John Allen his executrs Admrs or Assignes doe or shall well & truely performe, fulfill & keepe all & singular the Covenants, graunts, articles, Clauses & agreements mentioned, written & Comprized in a Cer- tame Conveyance or Deed poll under the hand & seale of the sd John Allen beareinge date even with these presents, made by him the sd John Allen unto the abovenamed Caecilius &c according to the tenure, intent, effect & true meaneinge of the sd Conveyance, That |
