                548 Charles County Court Proceedings, 1671—1674.

          Liber E    for and furnisht wth meat drinke lodge ing &c for the Space of twenty
                Monthes for wch the sd Thomas did promise & take upon him Self to
                pay unto her the sd Bridget two thousand pounds of tob Notwth-
                standing the sd Thomas has not minded his sd promise & assumpcon
                Soe made as aforesd but neglecting her the sd Brdgett the sd Sume
                of two thousand pds of tob to pay & Satisfie though often thereunto
                required for wch sd Sume the sd Bridgett brings this her Suite, And
                the sd Thomas Lomax in prop pson Sayeth that the above sd Nehe-
                miah Blackstone hath Satisfied eight hundred pounds of tob unto the
                sd Bridgett Whereupon the Comrs gave Judgemt agt the Deft for the
                Sume of twelve hundred pounds of tob Costs as followeth

                 In a cause depending between Philip Lines Plaintiff & John Walton
                Deft And whereupon the sd Philip Lines complaines agt the sd Jn0
                for that the sd Jn0 Stands indebted unto him the sd Philip in the
                Sume of three hundred ninety & eight pounds of tob by bill under
                his hand & Seale beareing date the 23th day of October Anno Dni
                1673 for wch Sume the Deft confesseth Judgtht to the Plaintiff: &
                the Plaintiff prferrs this following bill of Costs wch the Comr
                allowed of
                    To Attornys fee                 60
              To attendance 4 dayes at 30 lb day

                 In a case depending between Jno Wood Plaintiff & Edmond Taylor
                Deft The Plaintiff declares agt the Deft for the Sume of eight
                hundred and twenty pounds of tob due by acct in Court produced;
                as followeth:
                To 24 Gallons of quince drinke 400 lb toli
                To 21 Gallons of quince drinke in September 420 lb tob
                                               Sum tot 820 lb tob
                 Thomas Cooper Sworne in Court & declares tht he heard Edmond
                Taylor acknowledge the receipt of the sd 45 Gallons of quince
                drinke whereupon the Comrs ordred judgeffit to be entred agt the
                Deft for the Sume of 820 lb tob wth Costs as followeth
                To Jno Woods attendance   120  wch
                To Thomas Coopers attendance 4 days     120 bill of Cost was
                To Jno Wrights attendance 4 days   120 allowed by th Com
                To Philip Lines attendance 4 days  120
                To Att fees                60
