534 Charles County Court Proceedings, 1671—1674.
Liber E that he the sd Edward Maddock his heires & ass & evy of them
shall & may by force & virtue of theise pntes from tyme to tyme &
at all tymes for ever hereafter lawfully peaceably & quietly have
hold use occupie possesse & enjoy the sd lande & all & singular the
before granted pmisses & have receive & take the rentes issues & pfitts
thereof to his & their owne pper uses & behoofes without any man-
ner of lett trouble eviction or interrupcon of or by the sd Luke
Greene his heires executrs admrs or ass or any of them or of or by
any other pson or psons wtsoev (The rentes & services which from
henceforth from tyme to tyme for or in respect of the pmisses
hereby sold shall grow due & payable to the Cheife Lord or Lords
of the Fee or fees thereof for & in respect of his or their Seignory
or Seignoryes onely Excepted & foreprized) In witnes hereof the
pties aforesd to theise Indenturs have interchangeably putt their
hands & seales the day & yeare first above written.

Thomas Wake feild acknowledged the ensueinge Conveyance for
one hundred acres of Land unto Edward Solley in open Court Vizt
This Indenture made the tenth day of March in the two & fortith
yeare of Caecilius absolute Lord & Propetary of the Province of Mary-
land & Avalon Lrd Baron of Baltamore &ct And in the yeare of or
Lord One thousand Six hundred Seaventy & three By & betweene
Thomas Wakefeild of Charles County in the Province of Maryland
of the one pte And Edward Solley of the same County & Province
of the other pte Witnesseth that the sd Thomas Wakefeild For & in
consideracon of the Sume & quantity of Seaven thousand five hun-
dred pounds of Tobacco & Caske unto him the sd Thomas Wakefeild
before th'ensealinge & delivy of theise pntes by the sd Edward Solley
well & truly paide the receipt whereof the saide Thomas Wakefeild
doth hereby acknowledge & himselfe therewith fully Satisfied con-
tented & paide & thereof & of eVy pte & pcell tl1ereof doth clearely
exonerate acquitt & discharge the sd Edward Solley his heires executrs
admrs & ass & evy of them forever by theise pntes Hath given granted
aliened bargained sold assigned transferred enfeoffed & confirmed
And by theis pntes doth fully clearely & absolutely give grante
bargain sell alien assigne transferr enfeoff & confirme unto him
the sd Edward Solley his heires & ass forever All that pcell or
Tract of Land, Scituate lyeinge and beinge in the aforesd County
[p. 159] at the head of Wickacomoco River lately in the occupacon of John
Kemberell or his ass buttinge & boundinge as followeth, to say
begininge at a bounded Oake boundinge on the South neare a fresh
called Walkers runn from thence runninge North from the sd Oake
the length of fifty five pches, unto a bounded White oake standinge
in a Swamp from thence with a lyne drawne West from the sd Oake
unto a bounded Oake standinge neare the Roade path to Portobacco
