Charles County Court Proceedings, 1671—1674. 521 othr Act or Acts thinge or thinges device or devices, assurance or Liber E assurances whatsoever requisite in the prmisses, for the better as- sureinge & more sure makeinge of the sd bargained premisses unto him the sd John Cassock his heires & ass for eyer be it by enrole- ment of theis pntes fine feofment or otherwise, or by any such lawfull wayes & meanes, as by him the said John Cassock his heires or ass or his or their Councell Learned in the Law, shall be reasonably devised advised or required, In witnes whereof the pties [p. 148] abovenamed have Interchangeably to theise Indentures Sett to their handes & Seales the day & yeare above wrighten. Signed Sealed and delivd his in the pnce of Robert X Cassleton (loc Edward Abbott: John Dunstane marke sigit) Memorandm that full & peaceable possession & Seizin of the land & tenements within menconed with th'appurtenances was given & delivd by within named Robert Cassleton to within named John Cassock accordinge to forme & effect of the within written deed this twelveth day of January Anno Domi in the pnce of us whose names are undrwritten 1673 John Dunstane This was endorsed on the back the mke of of the above conveyance.Mathew X Harman The above menconed Conveyance of two hundred acres of land &c with the endorsemt thereon was acknowledged in open Court by Robert Cossleton & Mary his wife unto John Cassock the first day of this Court before the Comrs then Sittinge. John Hill acknowledgeth the ensueinge Tract of Land conteyninge One hundred & fiftie acres unto Philip Lynes in open Court Vizt. This Indenture made this ninth day of January In the yeare of our Lord One thousand six hundred Seaventy & three Betweene John Hill of Charles County in the Province of Maryland Planter of the one parte & Philip Lynes of the County aforesaid Inhoulder of the other parte Witnesseth that the said John Hill for & in consideracon of two thousand six hundred pounds of tobacco & one Dunn horse to him in hand at or before the sealeinge & delivy of theis pntes by the sd Philip Lynes well & truly paide the receipt whereof the sd John Hill doth hereby acknowledge, & himselfe therewith fully satisfied & paide and thereof & of every parte & pcell thereof doth clearely acquitt exonerate & discharge the said Lynes his heires executrs & admrs by theis pntes, Hath given granted bargained & Solde enfeoffed & confirmed & by theis pntes doth give grante alien bargain sell enfeoff & confirme unto Philip Lynes his heires & ass forever a certaine pcell of Land (called Wheelers Palme) lye- inge on the North side of Piscatoway River neare to the lande formerly layde out to Robert Hueson of the Province Planter, begin- inge at a marked Oake by the River side boundinge on the South |
