426 Charles County Court Proceedings, 1671—1674.
Liber E manner of wayes appertaineing To Have & To Hold the said parcell
of land and all and Singular the before bargained prmisses unto him
the Said John Douglas his heyres and assignes forever to the onely
propper use and behoofe of him the said John Douglas his heyres &
assignes forever And I the Said Edmond Lyndsy doe for myselfe my
heyres Executors and Administrators the said parcell of Land and
all other the before bargained prmisses unto him the said John
Douglas his heyres and Assignes agt all psons wtsoever Shall and
will warrt and forever hereafter defend by these prsents the Rents
and Services hereafter to become due to the cheife Lord for the
same, allwayes excepted and foreprized, and farther tht the sd Ed-
mond Lyndsy his heyrs & assignes Shall and will from tyme to tyme
and at all tymes hereafter dureing the Space of Seaven yeares at
the reasonable request and at the propper Cost and charge in the
law of him the said John Douglas his heyres and assignes make doe
execute and Suffer and cause to be made done executed and Suifred
all and every Such farther Act or Acts thing or things device or
devices assureance or assureances wtsoever requesite in the prmisses
For better assureing and more Sure makeing the said prmisses unto
him the said John Douglas his heyres & assignes forever, Bee it by
enrollemt of these prsents fyne feofmt or otherwise or by any Such
lawfull wayes or meanes as by him the said John Douglas his heyres
and assignes or his or theyre Councell learned in the law Shall be
reasonably devised, advised or required; In witness whereof the par-
ties have interchangeably Sett theyre hands and Seales the day and

Henry Moore entreth the Birth of his Daughter Eliza: who was
Borne the 30th day of March 1664

Edmond Lyndsy acknowledgeth this ensueing Conveyance of
Land unto Michaell Minock
This Indenture made the eighth day of November Annoq Dni
1672 Betweene Edmond Lyndsy of Charles County in the Province
of Maryland Plant of the one part & Michaell Minocke of the Same
County & Province Plant of the other part, Witnesseth tht the said
Edmond Lyndsy for and in Consideracon of the quantity of three
thousand five hundred pounds of tobacco & Caske to him in hand
payd by the said Michaell Minock the receipt whereof the said Ed-
