386 Charles County Court Proceedings, 1671—1674. Liber E assureance or assureances for the said prmisses as he the Said Geo Godfrey his heyres or Assignes or any of them or his or theyre Councell learned in the law Shall the said Joseph Harrison and Stephen Mountague theyre heyres Executors & Admrs or any of them thereunto require and the said Joseph & Stephen for themselves theyre heyres Executrs and Admrs the before bargained prmisses wth the appurtenances unto the George Godfrey his heyres Executors Administrs and Assignes to the intent and meaneing aforesaid Shall and will warrt and forever defend by these prsents, In witness whereof the partycs abovesaid have intchangeable Set theyre handes and Seales the day and yeare first above said Signed Sealed & delivered Joseph Harrison (locus in the prsence of Sigilli) Owen Jones Stephen Mountague (locus Geo: Langham Sigilli) Richard Chapman acknowledges th3 ensueing Conveyance unto Tho: Craxon in open Court This Indenture made this eleventh day of June in the yeare of our Lord one thousand Six hundred Seventy and two, Betweene Richard Chapman of Charles County in the province of Maryland of the one part and Thomas Craxon of the Same County and province of the other part witnesseth tht the said Richard Chapman as well for and in consideracon of the Sume of Three thousand poundes of tobacco and caske by the said Thomas Craxon before the ensealeing and delivery of these prsents to him the Said Richard Chapman in hand payd the receipt whereof he doeth hereby acknowledge and confess and thereof and of every part and parcell thereof doth accquitt and release the Said Thomas Craxon his heyres and As- signes, Hath given granted bargayned and Sold remised released quitt dame and confirmed, and by these prsents doth give grant bargaine Sell and confirm unto the sd Craxon his heyres & Assignes [fol. 65] forever all his right Title Interest claime or demand of in or to one tract or parcell of land called Byfeild Close Sold by Giles Glover unto the Said Craxon and Richard Chapman lyeing on the East Side of Avon River in Charles County containeing one hundred and fifety acres more or less being butted and bounded as by a Pattent granted unto Jeremiah Dikeson relacon thereunto being had may more at large appear together wth all houses Edifices buildings barnes Stables gardens orchards yardes backsides easments lands Tenemts medowes feedings pastures woods underwoods wayes pfitts comode- tyes hereditamts and appurtenances wtsoever to the said land and prmisses or to any part or parcell thereof belonging or in any way appertaineing as allso all the Estate right Title Intrest use ppty clayme or demand of him the said Richard Chapman his heyres or Assignes of in or to the Same as allso all deeds writeings and evi- dences touching or concerning the prmisses or any part or parcell |
