Charles County Court Proceedings, 1671—1674. 345 Henry Bonner Plt Liber E John Hatch & Robert Rowlands Admrs of the goods & Chattells of [fol. 471 Francis Bullock Deed Defts in a plea of trespas upon the Case. The plaintiff declares agt the Defts fur that whereas on the day of Aprill 1669 & in the xxxviii yeare of the Dominion of Caecilius That for & in Consideration of a petticoate then bought of Francis Bullock amounting to three hundred pounds of tobaccoe & dellivered to the Said Francis his maid Called Weniffred the Said Francis did then assume on himselfe & to the Said Henry did Faithfully promise that the Said Wenifrett Should make for the Said Henry Six half e Shirts Six whole Shirts, Six Cravatts, Six neck Cloathes & Six handkerchiefs wch the Said Winifrett never did make for the plaintiff wch Consideracon the Said Francis in his life time never did returne to the plaintiff nor the Said John & Robert Since the decease of the Said Francis though often thereunto re- quired Soc that the plt Saith he is damnified & hath loss to the vallew of one thousand pounds of tobaccoe & thereupon he bringeth his Suite Whereupon the Defendts produced a Quietus Est upon the Ad- ministracon of the Said Estate & prayed a nonsuite agt the Plt wch was granted wth Costs of Suite. And the Defts presented this Ensueing accompt of Costs & Dam- mages hapned in Certain matters of difference between them the Said John Hatch & Robt Rowlands Admrs of the Goods Chattells & Creditts of Francis Bullock deed & the Sd Henry Bonner in Severall Suites Comenced by them agt the Said Henry & whereon time had been granted them till this pnt Court for presenting the Same. lb tob. To attending 3 Severall Courts 2 days Each Court at 30 lb P diem 360 To Atturnys Fees for draw: two declaracons 120 And for Damages Susteyned by his default in nonpayment of the Tobaccoe— To the Arrest & Attendance payd to the Sheriff Suite of Hump: Warren 070 To Judiciall Charges allowed against thm at the Said Suite 150 To Serv: the Execucon on their Bodys payd to the Sheriff. 100 To 12 days imprisonmt Each: att 20 lb P diem before they 480 Could procure Tobaccoe to pay the Said order of Court 1280 To a nonsuite as abovesaid 0050 1330 Which being proved to the Court that they had Susteyned by his default was by them allowed & Judgemt granted for the Same. |
