Edmond Lendsey dema a warrt agt Elizabeth Young in a plea of trespasse upon the Case Warrt to the Sheriff returnable ut Supra. Sher: The wthin named Eliza young I have taken & have her body here Returne as I am by this writt required B Rozer Sheriffe. Robert Rowlands Came & requested this Ensueing marke of Cattell & hogges to be recorded vizt Swallowforked on the left Eare overkeeled on the Right Eare and a figure of three under the over- keele. [fol. 46] Att a Court held for the Lord Proprietary in Charles County on the twelfth day of September in the xlth yeare of his Said Lops Dominion over this Province Annoq Dni 1671. Present Comrn Mr Henry Addames Mr John Stone. Mr Thomas Mathews Mr Zachary Wade. Mr Francis Pope Mr John Bowles. John Owen planter came & acknowledged a parcell of land Called Owens purchase being 200 acres to James Hayes & Philip Hoskins the Alienacon of the Said land Being payd. In a reference granted on a Certain matter of Difference depend- ing between Edward Maddock Plt & Thomas Allanson deft, in a plea of debt The plt appearing prefer'd this Ensueing declaracon Complaining agt the Sd Thomas for that whereas the Sd Thomas by a Certain writing Sealed wth his Seale bearing date the 28th of Aprill Anno Domini 1670 did become bound to pay to him the Sd Edward when thereunto required the Sume of 1500 lb of tobaccoe & Caske Yett nevertheles the Said Thomas his Sd promise & assumption little minding or regarding but devising & fraudulently intending him the Said Edward of the Said Sume of 1500 lb tobaccoe to deceive the Said Sum of 1500 of Tobaccoe although often thereunto required hath not Satisfyed but doth altogether refuse to pay the Same to the great damage & injury of him the Said Edward whereupon he Saith he is damnified & hath loss to the vallew of 2000 lb tobacçoe & thereupon he Bringeth his Suite. |
