James Smallwood Came & acknowledged a Conveyance of land to
william Jenkins as followeth, the alienacon whereof was presently
payd to the Sheriffe.
This Indenture made the 14th day of February Ano 1670 Be-
tweene James Smallwood of Charles County in the province of
Maryland planter of the one party & William Jenkins of the Same
County planter of the other party, Wittnesseth that the Said James
Smaliwood as well for and in Consideracon of five thousand pounds
of tobaccoe & Caske in hand payd before the Ensealing & dellivery
hereof by the said will: Jenkins whereof & wherewith the Said [fol.36]
James Smallwood doth acknowledge himself e fully Satisfyed Con-
tented & payd & thereof & Every part & parcell thereof doth acquitt
& discharge the Said willm Jenkins his heires Execrs & Admrs &
Every of them by these pnts as also for divers other good Causes &
Consideracons him hereunto moveing Hath Granted, Bargained,
