the Yearly Meetings of the People called Quakers and to prevent
the tumultuous Concourse of Negroes and other Slaves during said
Meetings.
A Bill entitled an Act continuing an Act entitled an Act relating
to Guardians & Orphans.

These Bills read the first & second Time in the Lower House &
will pass.

Read the first and second Time by especial Order in this House &
will pass so endorsed and sent by Daniel Dulany Esquire.
A Bill by the same Gentlemen entitled an Act to ease the In-
habitants of this Province & to impower the Justices of the several
Counties to bind out the Persons therein mentioned Apprentices.
Read the first and second Time in the Lower House & will pass.
Read the first Time in this House & ordered to lye on the Table.
Adjourned until 3 oClock in the Afternoon

elected for the City of Annapolis, to see him qualified, who take the
Oaths to the Government appointed to be taken by Act of Assembly,
repeats & subscribes the Abjuration & Test & withdraws.
A Bill by Mess.rs Hammond and Hall entitled an Act to vest
Certain Lands in John Hammond Esq.r and for other Purposes
therein mentioned.
Read the first and second Time in the Lower House and will pass
Read the first and second Time by especial Order in this House &
will pass so endorsed & sent by Benedict Calvert Esquire.
Mess.rs Worthington & Hyland bring the following engrossed
Bills assented to by the Lower House Viz.t
A Supplementary Act to the Act entitled an Act relating to English
Weights & Measures.
An Act for the further Enlargement of Baltimore Town in Balti-
more County.
A Supplementary Act to the Act entitled an Act ascertaining what
Damages shall be allowed upon protested Bills of Exchange.
An Act to enable the Justices of S.t Marys County Court to assess &
levy on the Taxable Inhabitants of S.t Andrews Parish a Quantity
of Tobacco for building a Church & for other Purposes therein
mentioned.
An Act to enable the Justices of S.t Marys County Court to assess
and levy on the Taxable Inhabitants of All-Faiths Parish a Quantity
of Tobacco for other Purposes therein mentioned
