ACT OF THE ASSEMBLY PASSED IN
SEPTEMBER 1765

At a Session of Assembly begun and held at the City of Annapolis
on Monday the twenty third Day of September in the fifteenth Year
of the Dominion of the Right Honble Frederick Absolute Lord and
Proprietary of the Provinces of Maryland and Avalon Lord Baron
of Baltimore and so forth Anno Domini 1765 and ending the twenty
eighth Day of the same Month following.
The following Law was enacted and assented to by his Excellency
Horatio Sharpe Esquire Governor

An Act to continue all such Acts of Assembly of this province as
would expire with this session of Assembly Be it enacted by the
right honble the Lord proprietary by and with the advice and
Consent of his Lordships Governor and the upper and lower
Houses of Assembly and the Authority of the Same that all and
every Acts and Act of Assembly of this province now in force
and which would expire with this session of Assembly if the same
were not provided for shall be and are hereby continued in full
force untill the end of the next session of Assembly and no longer

I do hereby Certify that Reverdy Ghiselin Clerk of the Provincial
Court and Secretary's Office of the Province of Maryland this Day
personally appeared before Me the Subscriber One of the Right
Honourable the Lord Proprietary of the Province of Maryland
aforesaid his Council of State and made Oath on the Holy Evangels
of Almighty God that he carefully examined the above Law with
the Original Act that passed the Great Seal.
