Henry Hollyday Esq.r brings in and delivers to Mr Speaker the
following Report Viz
By the Committee appointed to inspect into the State of the several
Public Offices and to make Report thereof to the House
Your Committee beg Leave to inform your Hon.ble House that
early in the Session they entred upon an Examination of the State
of the Public Offices and made some Progress therein but the
advanced Season of the Year the Dampness of those Offices and the
close Attendance of your Commee on your Hom.ble House have pre-
vented their Making so thorough an Exaiaton as will be necessary
to perfect a Report and your Commee humbly conceive that to evince
the great Utility of such a Work at a convenient Season they need
only observe that in comparing sev.l Orig.l Wills with the Records
in the Commissary's Office they did not in any one Instance find the
Record agree with the Original

On Reading the 2.d Time the Message from the Up. Ho. sent with
Gen.l Murray's Letter representg the Distress of the Inhitants of
Montreal occasioned by Fire and on Consideration thereof
The Question was put that a Contribution be made by this Prov-
ince to the Sufferers by Fire at Montreal
Resolved in the Affirmative
