The House met According to Adjournment &ca
Col:o Hooper from the Upper House delivers to M.r Speaker
the following Message Viz:t
By the Upper House of Assembly September 25 :th 1765
Gentlemen
Not having at present any regular Notice of the foundation of
the resolve referred to in your Message of this Day and it being
Necessary that we should be Apprized of it before we can come to a
Determination on the Subject of that Message We request that you
will be pleased to Communicate it to this House

M.r William Allein and M.r Parker Selby Delegates returned for
Worcester County Appeared in the House
Ordered that M.r Chaille and M.r Wilson do go with those Gentle-
men to the Upper House to see them qualified they return and
Acquaint M.r Speaker the Gentlemen were qualified in the usual
manner by taking the several Oaths to the Government required by
Law by Subscribing the Oath of Abjuration repeating and Signing
the Test
The Gentlemen took their Seats in the House
The following Message Viz.t
By the Lower House of Assembly September 26:th 1765
May it please your Honours
In Compliance with the request contained in your Message received
this day We send you herewith Copies of Letters received by our
Speaker from the Speaker of the House of Representatives of the
Province of Massachusetts Bay and of a Committee of the said
House which were the foundation of the Resolve referred to in
our Message
Signed p Order M: Macnemara Clk Lower House

Was sent to the Upper House by M.r Hanson and M.r Plater

M.r James Smith a Delegate returned for Frederick County Ap-
peared in the House Ordered that Cap:t Chapline and M.r Fielder
Ganntt, Do go with that Gentleman to the Upper House to see him
qualified they return and Acquaint M:r Speaker the Gentleman was
qualified in the usual manner by taking the several Oaths to the
Government required by Law by Subscribing the Oath of Abjuration
by repeating and Signing the Test

The Gentleman took his Seat in the House
M.r John Goldsborough from the Committee Appointed delivers
to M.r Speaker the following Ingrossed Instructions Viz.t
