They return and acquaint Mr Speaker that the Gov.r signified he
would receive the Address in 3 Q.rs of an Hour in the Conference
Chamber
Ord.d That Tho.s Ringgold Esq.r & 5 more do present the Address
to the Governor
The Bill Entitled an Act for laying out Anew and settling and
ascertaining the future Bounds and Limits of S.t Lukes Christ
Church and St John's Parishes in Queen Ann's County &c was read
the 2d Time and will pass and was sent to the Upper House by
J. Hollyday Esq.r & M.r Wright

Benedict Calvert Esq.r from the Upper House delivers to Mr
Speaker the follg Message Viz
By the Upper House of Assembly 13.th Dec.r 1765
Gentlemen
That the Question between us concerning the Clerk of the Councils
Salary may be brought to the single Point upon which it really
depends we think [The Message beginning thus is printed in full
in the Upper House journal, pp. 84-89]

And the Journal of Accounts and the List of Debts
The Bill Entitled An Act for the Security of Purchasers and
Others being Protestants claiming by or from Aliens was referred
for Consideration on the 1.st Day of Janry 1766
The Bill Entitled an Act for the speedy and effectual Publication
of the Laws of this Province for the Encouragement of Jonas Green
of the City of Annap.s Printer was read the second Time and
will pass
The Bill Entitled an Act for raising four pence Sterling p Hh.d
on all Tobo exported out of this Province for the Support of an
Agent in Great Britain was read the second Time and will pass
The House adjourns 'till the Morrow Morning at 9 of the Clock

House by Mr Worthington and John Hammond Esq.r
On Motion Ord.d that Thomas Ringgold J. Hammond Tho.s
Johnson H. Hollyday J. Hall of Annap.s S. Chase W.m Murdock
Esq.rs Mr Hanson and M.r Worthington do prepare a Message in
Answer to the Message of Yesterday from the Upper House by
B. Calvert Esq.r
