applied to any public Use more than suff.t to make the late and
prnt Clk of the Council full Compensation for all their Services
for these Reasons we cannot agree to burthen the People with any
Salary to the Clk of the Council and as the Journal is already
swell'd to a very large Amount and the Discharge of the Public
Debt now many Years standing is a Matter of Importance and
greatly desired by the whole Province and as every just Allow-
ance hath in our Opinion been already made and no Dispute re-
mains but only the Salary to the Clks of the Council and as the Cir-
culating a Sum of Money equal to the public Debt would be of
singular Advantage to the Community and may well be done upon
the Credit of the Treasure now belonging to the Province we have
again returned you the Journal and List of Debts incurred on Ac-
count of the late War and are not without Hopes that your Honours
will assent thereto as they now stand

and approved signed by him as Clerk and sent to the Upper House
by M.r Hanson and three more with the Journal of Acco.ts and List
of Debts

The Bill Intituled an Act for regulating Innholders and Ordinary
Keepers within this Province was read the second Time and referred
to the Consideration of next Assembly

The Bill Entitled an Act for the better regulating of Attachments
was read the second Time and referred to the Consideration of next
Assembly

The Bill Entitled an Act to Encrease the Allowance of Jurors
attendg the Prov.l & Coty Co.ts &c was read the second Time with
the Amendments and will pass
The Bill Entitled an Act to confirm a Lease made by Tho.s Har-
rison of Baltimore County for Part of a Lot of Land therein men-
tioned and lying in Balt.re T.n in s.d County &c was read the second
Time and will pass

The Bill Entitled an Act for the Relief of Insolvent Debtors was
read the second Time & referred to the Consideration of next
Assembly

The Bill Entitled an Act for destroying of Crows and Squirrels
in paTlar Counties and of red Foxes in Kent and Queen Anns Coun-
ties was read the second Time and will pass
