applied to any public Use more than suff.t to make the late and
prnt Clk of the Council full Compensation for all their Services
for these Reasons we cannot agree to burthen the People with any
Salary to the Clk of the Council and as the Journal is already
swell'd to a very large Amount and the Discharge of the Public
Debt now many Years standing is a Matter of Importance and
greatly desired by the whole Province and as every just Allow-
ance hath in our Opinion been already made and no Dispute re-
mains but only the Salary to the Clks of the Council and as the Cir-
culating a Sum of Money equal to the public Debt would be of
singular Advantage to the Community and may well be done upon
the Credit of the Treasure now belonging to the Province we have
again returned you the Journal and List of Debts incurred on Ac-
count of the late War and are not without Hopes that your Honours
