William Lux and John Burgess Magistrates of Ann Arundel
County being exaied do say That they were commanded and com-
pelled by a Number of the Inhitants of Elk Ridge to come down to
Annapolis on this Day & to have a Conference with the Members
of this County in Order to learn what State or Situation the Journal
was in and to send an Express immediately to acquaint them there-
with and that according to the Contents or Tenor of such Express a
N.o of them would or would not be within Sight of the City of
Annap.s to Morrow or the next Day where they would halt and wait
for a favourable Answer (as was expected) was reced were deter-
mined imediately to proceed to their resptive Homes

Tuesday Dec.r 10th 1765

On Consideration of the Report Bro.t in by Tho.s Johnson Esq.r
of the 10.th Instant the Queon was put whe.r the Clerk of the Council
shall be allowed anything for making Out Inspectors Comisons
or not?

The Queon was put Whe.r the Clerk of the Council be allowed
any Thing for his Trouble in receiving the Naval Officers Bonds
into the Council Office as directed by the Act of Assembly made in
1751 enjoining that Service or not? Resolved in the Negative
