The petition of Ann Ogle Widow Benjamin Tasker Esq.r and
John Hammond Esq.r was read the second Time

Ordered that Col.o Tilghman Thomas Ringgold James Hollyday
and William Murdock Esq.rs do enquire and examine into the several
Facts and Allegations contained in the said petition and make Report
thereof to the House,

John Hammond Esq.r brings in and delivers to Mr Speaker a Bill
Entituled a Supplementary Act to the Act Entituled an Act for
ascertaining what Damages shall be allowed upon protested Bills of
Exchange which was read the first Time and Ordered to lye on the
Table

The Order of the Day being read the petition of the Rev.d M.r
Thomas Bacon was taken into Consideration &c on his prayer he
had the permission of the House to withdraw the same

Samuel Chamberlayne Esq.r from the Upper House delivers to
Mr Speaker the Humble petition of sundry Inhabitants of Kent
County the petition of Capt.n Bealle & Capt.n Ware The petition of
Lieut Rezin Beall The Petition of the Vestry and protestant In-
habitants of All Faiths parish in St Marys County and the petition
of the Vestrymen Church Wardens and sundry other Inhabitants
of S.t Pauls parish in Kent County severally Indorsed By the Upper
House of Assembly Read and referred to the Consideration of the
Lower House of Assembly

which petitions were read here and Ordered to lye on the Table

The Bill Entituled an Act for the Tryal of all Matters of Fact
in the several Countys where they have Arisen or shall arise was
read the second Time and committed for Amendments

The House adjourns 'till two of the Clock

On Motion Col.o Travers Tho.s Ringgold Esq.r M.r Henry Hall
Col.o Tilghman M.r Wright John Hammond Esqr and Major Hynson
have Leaves of Absence

Thomas Ringgold Esq.r brings in and delivers to Mr Speaker a
Bill Entituled an Act to prevent the Mischiefs arising from the
Multiplicity of Useless Dogs and for other purposes therein men-
tioned
Which was read the first Time and Ordered to lye on the Table
The House adjourns 'till the Morrow Morning at 9 of the Clock
