The House met according to Adjournment: The Members were
called, and all appeared as Yesterday. The Proceedings were Read.
Mr. Ridout, Esq; from the Upper House, delivers to Mr. Speaker,
the Petition of John Paca, Robert Adair, and Margaret Paca, thus
Indorsed; By the Upper House of Assembly, 30th March, 1762.
Read and Referred to the Consideration of the Lower House of
Assembly
The House adjourns till 2 of the Clock.
Post-Meridiem. The House met according to Adjournment.
Mr. Waring, Mr. Beall, and Mr. Magruder, appear in the House.
Mr. Baker brings in and delivers to Mr. Speaker, a Bill, entituled,
An Act for the Preservation of the Breed of Fish in the River
Susquehanna.
Mr. Harris, brings in and delivers to Mr. Speaker, a Bill, entituled,

An Act to impower the Justices of Somerset and Worcester Coun-

ties to levy on the taxable Inhabitants of Coventry Parish, partly in
Somerset and Worcester Counties, the Quantity of 62,400 lbs. of
Tobacco, for the Uses therein mentioned.
Stephen Bordley, Esq; from the Upper House, delivers to Mr.
Speaker, the Petition of Col. Henry Bouquet; thus Indorsed, By
the Upper House of Assembly, 30th March, 1762. Read and Re-
ferred to the Consideration of the Lower House of Assembly.
The House adjourns till the Morrow Morning 9 of the Clock.

Wednesday, March 31, 1762.

The House met according to Adjournment. The Members were
called, and all appeared as Yesterday. The Proceedings were Read.
His Excellency communicated to Mr. Speaker, the following
Message: Gentlemen of the Lower House of Assembly,
I herewith send you Copies of two Letters that I lately received
from the Earl of Egremont and Sir Jeffery Amherst, by which you
will perceive, that the King thinking it highly essential to the
interests and Security of his Subjects in North-America, that the
regular Regiments serving on this Continent be recruited with all
Expedition, to the full Complement of Effectives, and at the same
Time considering how Great-Britain is drained, by furnishing such
