Ordered, That Mr. Henry Hall do Qualify him in the usual
Manner.
Mr. Hall acquaints Mr. Speaker, That John Rogers had taken the
several Oaths to the Government required by Law, subscribed the
Oath of Abjuration, repeated and signed the Test, and took the Oath
of Office.
Mr. Johnson brings in and delivers to Mr. Speaker, the following
Bills: A Bill, entituled, An Act continuing an Act, entituled, An Act for
the Relief of such Persons as cannot find Surety for their Appear-
ance, to testify as a Witness against any Person arrested, accused or
prosecuted, for any Criminal Matter.
A Bill, entituled, An Act continuing an Act, entituled, An Act for
the more effectual destroying Crows and Squirrels in the Counties
of Kent, Queen-Anne's and Talbot, and for destroying Red Foxes
in the said Counties.
John Ridout, Esq; from the Upper House, delivers to Mr. Speaker,
the following Petitions:

The Petition of the Inspectors at Elk-Ridge Landing Warehouse:
The Petition of sundry Inhabitants of Frederick County, in and about
George-Town: And, The Petition of Frederick Victor.
Severally thus Indorsed, Read and Referred to the Consideration
of the Lower House of Assembly.

Mr. Magruder has Leave of Absence till Tuesday.
Mr. Benjamin Mackall has Leave of Absence.
The House adjourns till 2 of the Clock.
Post-Meridiem. The House met according to Adjournment.
Mr. Johhnson brings in and delivers to Mr. Speaker, the follow-
ing Bills: A Bill, entituled, An Act continuing an Act, entituled, An Act for
destroying of Crows and Squirrels in partciular Counties.
A Bill, entituled, An Act continuing an Act, entituled, An Act to
make it Penal to forge or counterfeit the Bills of Credit of Virginia,
Pennsylvania, New-York, East or West Jerseys, or the Three Lower
Counties on Delaware, called New-Castle, Kent and Sussex, or to
utter or tender the same in Payment, within this Province, knowing
them to be such.
A Bill, entituled, An Act continuing an Act, entituled, An Act for
Repairing the public Roads in this Province, and the Supplementary
Act thereto.
A Petition from sundry Freeholders, and other Voters of Calvert
County, preferred to the House by Mr. Young Parran, complaining
of an undue Election, was Read the first and second Time; and
thereupon Ordered, That the Sheriff of Calvert County attend at the
