Mr. George Plater, a Delegate returned for St. Mary's County;
appeared in the House.
Ordered, That Mr. Magruder and Mr. Worthington do go with
those Gentlemen to the Upper House, to see them Qualified.
They return and acquaint Mr. Speaker, They saw them Qualified
in the usual Manner.
The Gentlemen took their Seats in the House.
Samuel Chamberlaine, Esq; from the Upper House, delivers to
Mr. Speaker, the following Message:
By the Upper House of Assembly, 22d March, 1762.
Gentlemen,
Not being able to make up an House for the Dispatch of Business,
from the Indisposition of several of our Members, till this Morning,
we now, agreeable to your Messages of the i8th and igth Instant, do
appoint Samuel Chamberlaine, Esq; to join the Members named by
your House, in a Committee to inspect the Accounts and Proceedings
of the Commissioners of the Paper Currency Office.
Signed per Order, J. Ross, Cl. Up. Ho.
Ordered, That the Clerks appointed to attend the several Com-
mittees, do attend the Call of the House.
The further Consideration of the Subject-matter contained in
his Excellency's Speech, and his Majesty's Secretary of State, and
Sir Jeffery Amherst's Letters, was referred till the Sitting of the
House in the Afternoon.
The House Adjourns till 2 of the Clock.

Post-Meridiem. The House met according to Adjournment.
Mr. Michael Earle and Mr. Henry Baker, Two Delegates returned
for Caecil County; Mr. William Murdock, a Delegate returned for
Prince-George's County; and Mr. William Waters, a Delegate
returned for Somerset County; appeared in the House.
Ordered, That Mr. Beall and Mr. Hayward do go with those
Gentlemen to the Upper House, to see them Qualified.
They return and acquaint Mr. Speaker, That they saw them
Qualified in the usual Manner.
The Gentlemen took their Seats in the House.
John Ridout, Esq; from the Upper House, delivers to Mr. Speaker,
a Bill, entituled, An Act for the Adjournment and Continuance of
Prince George's and Queen-Anne's County Courts;
Which Bill was indorsed By the Upper House of Assembly March
19, 1762, read the first time and ordered to lie on the table and
Thus, By the Upper House of Assembly, 22d March, 1762. Read the
Second time and will pass.
