and Several Counties are Chargeable by Virtue of any Acts of As-
sembly of this Province And that it shall and may be law full for
all Persons Charged with the remaining four fifths and the Officers
fees regulated as aforesaid and all other Publick and County dues
and Allowances and Parochial Charges in such Levies to pay the
same in Gold or Silver as regulated by this Act during the Continu-
ance thereof so as such Payments shall be made on or before the
Tenth day of April Yearly and every Year

And be it enacted that all Sheriffs shall during the Continuance
of this Act be Obliged to do and Perform every thing required of
them to be done by an Act of Assembly of this Province entituled
an Act to Prevent the ill Practices of Sheriffs in the Collection and
paying the Publick and County Levies so far as relates to discounting
with the Inhabitants makeing out and delivering Lists of all Tobacco
with which the People are charged for Publick and County Levies
and of the Money by them paid or Certificates returned (by those
who make no Tobacco) on or before the Tenth day of April in
discharge thereof Attendance to receive the dues and the Payment

thereof in Money and Tobacco in Proportion to those who have
Publick Allowances and be it further enacted that all Lawyers fees
which shall be paid in Inspected Tobacco shall be liable to the
Abatement and Deduction of one fifth

And be it further enacted that all Publick and County Levies
Parochial Charges and Attorneys fees that shall be paid in Tobacco
Clergys Allowances and all Officers fees payable in Tobacco shall be
paid and Satisfied by the Persons Chargeable with and Indebted for
the same to the Respective Sheriffs by Inspector Inspectors Notes
before the Tenth day of June Yearly (during the Continuance of
this Act and if any Person chargeable with Levies Parochial Charges
Clergys Allowances and fees aforesaid shall neglect or refuse to pay
the same within the time aforesaid it shall and may be lawfull for
the Sheriffs immediately after the said tenth day of June to distain
the goods and Chattells of the Person or Persons so Neglecting and
refusing and to Sell and Dispose thereof at the Expiration of five
days after distress made for Tobacco or Gold and Silver as the Case
may be at Publick Auction all which shall be Done by the said
Sheriff without fee or reward and the Overplus if any be beyond
what will satisfie the demands aforesaid shall be returned to the
Debtor

such Person in Execution for such Levies dues Charges and fees and
