Agreeable to the above Resolve, the said Bill was Indorsed, Read
the second Time, and will Pass; and was sent to the Upper House
by Mr. John Goldsborough and Mr. Hayward.

Mr. Jacobs and Mr. Murdock have Leave of Absence till Monday.

The Petition of the Vestrymen and sundry Others of Port-Tobacco
Parish, in Charles County, was Read the second Time and Granted:

Ordered, That Mr. Hanson, Mr. Stoddert, and Mr. Smallwood,
do prepare and bring in a Bill accordingly.

A Bill, entituled, An Act to change the Name of Zaccheus Barrett
to that of Onion;

A Bill, entituled, An Act to impower William Clajon, and Mary
his Wife, Administratrix of Gamaliel Butler, to sell a Lot of Ground,
and Three Dwelling-Houses, situate in the City of Annapolis; [This
paragraph in printed journal, but not in original manuscript liber]

A Bill, entituled, An Act to remedy an Omission in the Last Will
and Testament of Henry Woodward;

Were sent to the Upper House by Mr. Worthington and Mr.
Johnson.

A Bill entituled an Act for the better securing the Duty of one
shilling and three pence sterling per hogshead of Tobacco imposed
by an Act for emitting and making current £900000 current Money
of Maryland in Bills of Credit, and all other Monies received by
the Naval Officers belonging to the Publick, was read the first time
and ordered to lie on the Table.

Mr. Deye brings in and delivers to Mr. Speaker, a Bill, entituled,
An Act for destroying Crows and Squirrels in Baltimore County;
which was Read the first Time, and Ordered to lie on the Table.
