The Message aforesaid was sent to the Upper House with the Bill
for granting a Supply of Forty-five Thousand Pounds for his
Majesty's Service, and for defraying the Expences heretofore in-
curred for the Defence and Security of the Frontier Inhabitants of
this Province, and for other Purposes therein mentioned, and for
Raising the same by an equal Assessment on all Estates, Real and
Personal, and Lucrative Offices and Employments, by Mr. Edward
Tilghman, and Twelve more.
Mr. Hammond, Mr. Earle, and Mr. Wright, have Leave of Ab-
sence till Monday: Mr. Ringgold and Mr. Edward Tilghman till
Tuesday: Mr. James John Mackall till Wednesday: Mr. Paca till
Thursday.
Mr. Waters has Leave of Absence.
The House adjourns till the Morrow Morning 9 of the Clock.


Saturday, April 10, 1762.

The House met according to Adjournment: The Members were
called, and all appeared as Yesterday, except Mr. John Goldsborough,
Mr. Edmondson, Mr. Thomas, Mr. Sulivane, Mr. Edward Tilgh-
man, Mr. Wright, Mr. Earle, Mr. Ringgold, Mr. Paca, and Mr.
Hammond. The Proceedings were Read.
On Motion, Ordered, That the Accounts of the Sums of Money
received and applied by the Agents, in Pursuance of the Act for
granting a Supply of Forty Thousand Pounds for his Majesty's
Service, and striking £34015:6:0 thereof in Bills of Credit, and
Raising a Fund for sinking the same, be delivered to the said Agents,
to be laid before the Upper House of Assembly, for their Inspection
and Examination.
The Petition of Jonas Green, of the City of Annapolis, Printer,
was Read the second Time:

Ordered, That Mr. Dulany, Mr. John Hall, Mr. Johnson, Mr.
Grahame, Mr. Gantt, and Mr. Allen, be a Committee to enquire
into the Facts set forth in the said Petition.
