payments and Returns of Other Officers into that Office, require as
early an Inspection as possible, we hope it will be looked upon as a
Sufficient Excuse for repeating our Message of yesterday, desiring
your Honours to appoint one or more Members of your House to
join the Members of this House appointed for that purpose

The following Message is sent to the Lower House by Samuel
Chamberlaine Esqr
By the Upper House of Assembly 22d March 1762
Gentlemen
Not being able to make up an House for the dispatch of Business
from the Indisposition of Several of Our Members, till this Morning
we now, agreable to your Messages of the 18.th & 19 :th Instant, do
appoint Sam.l Chamberlaine Esq.r to join the Members named by
your House, in a Committee to inspect the Accounts & Proceedings
of the Commissioners of the Paper Currency Office

Messrs Worthington & Magruder attend with M.r Paca a Member
for Baltimore County M.r George Plater for St Marys County Mr
Thos Johnson a Member for Ann Arundel County & Mr Beattys for
Frederick County to see them quallified who take the Oaths to the
Government appointed to be taken by Act of Assembly repeat &
subscribe the Abjuration & Test & then withdraw
