             558       Provincial Court Proceedings, 1670.

        Liber JJ  tance or other discharges for me and in my name to Compound seale
              & deliuer Atorney or Atorneyes one or more under him to ordaine &
              sett at his pleasure and againe to Reuoake and moreouer to doe Exe-
              cute pfonme Conclude and Finish for mee and in my place as is men-
              tioned Before wch shalbee Expedient and necessary Concerning the
              prmisses as throughly wholey and Surely as myselfe should doe if
              I were there in my owne prson psent and all wteuer my sayd Atorney
              Shall happen to doe or cause to be done in and for the prmisses I doe
              promise to allow Ratify and Establish and thereto I bind mee my
              heires and Executors by these prsents & Furthermore I doe by these
              prsents Reuoake and Null all or any Lettrs of Atorney by mee made
              to any person or persons in this province of Maryland or Virginia
              In Wittnes hereof I sett my hand & seale the 7th of June 1670

              wthin written Lettor of Atorney   Philip Caluert

              mercht doe Constitute and Ordaine and in my place appoint my well
              be!oued Friends in Crist Mr Thomas Manning Senior and Jno Man-
              ning both of them belonging to Maryland Liueing in the County of
              Calvert planters I doe make them or Either of them my Lawfull and
              True Atorney or Atorneyes to aske Require Leauy Recouer and Re-
              ceiue in my name for mee and to my use all and singular sumes of
              Money Tobaccoes & Debts whateuen they bee of all manner of prsons
              in any wise to me due pertaineing or belonging in any part or place
              wth the sd Land of Saint Maryes belonging to any of the pticular
              Counties thereof Giueing and Graunting to my sayd Atorney or
              Atorneyes my full and whole power and Authority in the prmisses
              to plaint arrest sue declare Impleade imprison Cause to be Con-
              dempned and Release the sd debtors or Recouer and Receiue and
              Thereupon Finally accord and acquitt Letters of Acquittance and
              other discharges for mee and in my name to Compound Seale and
              deliuer Attorney or Atorneyes one or more under them to ordaine
              and sett at theire pleasures and Againe to Revoake & moreouer to doe
