Provincial Court Proceedings, 1669. 445 these presents In Wittnes Whereof I haue hereunto sett my hand Liber FF and seale this twentith day of may One thousand Six hundred Sixty Nine Charles Calvert Signed Sealed & Delivered (Sealed) in the presence of us John Morecroft John Jerbo Thomas Lomax One the Back side of the foregoeing Letter of Attorny was thus Written (vizt) June the 4th 1669 The wtbin Written Letter of Attorny proved in Open Court by the Oathes of John morecroft and John Jarbo Wittnesses thereunto Jn0 Blomfeild Cler: Charles Calvert Esq Leiftennt Generall & Governour of this prov- [p. 7951 ince of maryland under the Rt Honble Caecilius Absolute Lord & pro- prietary of the provinces of maryland and Avalon Lord Baron of Baltemore To all whom these prsents shall Conic Greeting Whereas I haue received from his said Lopp Comishcon and also Instruccons for the Collecting gathering up & Leaveying of the Rents Fines Amertiaments & all Other the perquisites due and belonging to his sayd Lopp Out of this province from any person Or persons what- soever, as they shall duely Legally and Justly accrue arise & become payable to his said Löpp by any wayes & meanes whatsoever wth fur- ther power alsoe in the said Comission to me Granted by the said Comission to Constitute appoint Authorize & Ordaine One Or more Deputy Or Deputyes for the better & more Speedy effecting & per- forming of the same Now know yee that I the said Charles Calvert Esq haue made Constituted Authorized & Ordained and doe by these presents make Constitute Authorize & Ordaine my right trusty and Well beloved Friend Thomas Nottley of the County of St maries mer- chant my true and Law full Deputy as Generall Receiver of this prov- ince in my Stead & place to receive all & every the rents fynes for Alienacon Fines Amertiaments and all Other the perquisites what- soever which now are Arreare behinde & unpaid & are Lawfully due arisen & heretofore Lawfully and Justly become due to his said Löpp by any wayes Or meanes whatsoever and also all & every the rents fines for Alienacon Fines Amerciaments and all other the perquisites Whatsoever that shall from time to time & att all times hereafter accrue arise & become Lawfully due to his said Löpp from any person Or persons whatsoever wthin this province Giveing & hereby Granting unto my sd Deputy as full & Ample power & Authority as to me by the said Comission is Granted by himselfe his Law full deputy Or deputyes by him from time to time to be appointed att his desceetion |
