Provincial Court Proceedings, 1668. 297 Know all men by theis pnts That I Thomas Taylor of Petuxent in Li her FF the Province of Maryland gent am holden and firmly bounden unto 594] Charles Calvert Esq leivetennt Genall & Cheife Gounour of the same Province the full quantity of Thirty thousand pounds of good thchantable tobacco in caske To be paid to the said Charles Calvert or to his cteyne Attorny his exectors Admrs or assignes To the which paymt well & truly to be made I bind myselfe my heires Execu- tors and Admrs firmly by theis puts Sealed with my Seale & dated the Eleaventh Day of May in the Sixe & thirtyeth yeare of the Dominion of Caecilius &c Annoq Dth one thousand six hundd sixty Eight The Condicon of this Obligacon is such That if the above bond Named Charles Ca!vert his heires & Assignes & every of them shall & may for eü henceforth peaceably & queitly have hold use Occupy possesse and enjoy all tht parcell of land lying in the County of Cal- vert aforesd being part of a Devident of land called Little Eltonhead Mannor Conteyning by estimacon Six hundd acres more or lesse & every pte & pcell thereof together with the Appurtennces to the same belonging or any waies belonging or any wise appteyning menconed to be bargayned & sold by the above bounden Thomas Taylor to the Charles Calvert in & by a cteine paire of Indentures of bargaine & sale beareing date the day of the date above written made betweene the above bounden Thomas Taylor of the one part & the above named Charles Calvert on the other pte cleerly accquitted & discharged or otherwise sufficiently saved & kept harmless of & from all & manner of Estates, titles, troubles, Charges & incumberances whatsoeü at any time heretofore had made Committed pmitted Suffered or Done by the said Thomas Taylor & Frances his wife or either of them or by his or their Meanes or procuremt That then this Obligacon to be voyd & of none Effect or otherwise to stand in full force & vertue Sealed & deliüed Tho: Taylor (Sealed) in the pnce of Will: Calvert Daniel Jenifer The aforegoing Obligacon of Thomas Taylor wth the Other In- [p. 595] strumts and Indenture past by the said Taylor and Frances his wife to Charles Ca!vert Esq was att the speciall instance and request of him the said Thomas Taylor Entred on record Per Mee Daniel Jenifer The Provinciall Court of the Right Honble Caecilius Absolute Lord and Proprietary of the province of Maryland holden at St Maries before the justices of the Said Court the Second day of June in the xxxvith yeare of his Lopps Dominion &c Annoq Dom One thousand Six hundred Sixty eight |
