Benjamin Tasker Esq attended by the members of this House
presents to his Excellency their Address which follows in these
words
To his Excellency Horatio Sharpe Esq.r Governor and Commander
in Chief in and over the Province of Maryland
The Humble Address of the Upper House of Assembly
May it Please your Excellency
We Return you our Sincere thanks for your Speech to us at this
Time and laying the Letter you received from General Forbes before
us The Security of this and the two neighbouring Colonies dureing
the approaching Winter being of great Importance we Shall ma-
turely Consider, and have a Suitable regard to the Measures pro-
posed by the General for that end, and use our best endeavours that
our Proceedings and Determinations may be agreeable to his Wishes
and meet with your Excellencys Approbation
