612 Assembly Proceedings, Mar. 28-May 13, 1758.

L. H. J.
Liber No. 50
April 24

February, and Proved as the Law directs, as appears by Certificates
of such Proof under the Hand of Mr. Thomas Jennings, one of his
Lordship's Justices of Anne-Arundel County, dated Annapolis, Feb-
ruary 24th, 1758; and from the Entries made, and Accounts opened,
in the said Books, it appears, that of the Sum of £495 6 s. 7 d. which,
by the Report last September Session, is said to be remaining in the
Agents Hands unexpended of the Sum of £12,650 taken out of the
Office for Emitting Bills of Credit, by his Excellency the Governor's
Orders, pursuant to the Directions of the Acts of Assembly for his
Majesty's Service, in February and September Session, 1756, for
supporting 200 Men till the loth Day of February, 1757, and for
Constructing one Fort, and any Number not exceeding 4 Block-
Houses, on the Western Frontier of this Province, the Sum of
f 271 9 s. 4 d. has been expended on Fort Frederick. A Mistake of
£70 also appears to have been made in casting up the Debit Side of
the Fort Account in the Books first kept by the Agents aforesaid,
which leaves now in the Hands of the said Agents unexpended, the
Sum of £153 17s. 3 d. as p following State of the Account will
appear.
