An Ordinance
For the Encouragement of the Indians now at Fort Frederick
to range on the Western Frontier of this Province, it is ordained
by his Excellency the Governor, and the upper and Lower Houses
of Assembly, that Colonel Edward Lloyd Treasurer of the Eastern
Shore of this Province shall pay to his Excellency the Governor, or
to his Order the Sum of one hundred Pounds Current Money, out
of the public Money now in his Hands to be by his Excellency laid
out and disposed of as a Present to the Indians now at Fort Frederick,
in such Goods as he shall think most proper.
