Wednesday, 16th November, 1757.
The House met according to Adjournment: The Members were
called, and all appeared as Yesterday. The Proceedings were Read.
An Ingrossed Bill, entituled, A Supplementary Act to an Act,
entituled, An Act to enable the Justices of Baltimore County Court,
to assess and levy on the taxable Inhabitants of St. George's Parish
in that County, a Sum of Money for the Uses therein mentioned,
was sent to the Upper House, with the Paper Bill thereof, by Mr.
Govane and Mr. Owings.
The Bill, entituled, An Act for suppressing Plumb-Point Ware-
house in Calvert County, was Read the second Time, and will pass ;
and was sent to the Upper House by Mr. B. Mackall and Mr. Thomas
Reynolds.
The Bill, entituled, An Act to prohibit Raising Swine and Geese in
Frederick-Town in Frederick County, was Read the second Time,
and will pass; and was sent to the Upper House by Mr. Edward
Dorsey and Mr. Chapline.
On Progression in Reading the second Time, the Bill, entituled,
An Act for granting a Supply of for his
Majesty's Service, &c. the Question was put, Whether the Oaths

to be prescribed by the said Bill for Papists to take, shall be accord-
ing to the Form prescribed by the Statute of 1 William and Mary,
or Not ? Resolved in the Negative.
